Identifying online opportunities can be daunting when you're stuck offline. Let's face it if your business isn't online how can customers find you. Online can do wonders for any company to seeing you in search results or reading you're "about us" section on your website.
All these tips can increase your customer base into new heights, so let's say you are a business or like a particular restaurant in town or a local hair salon. These tips can apply to any of them.
The key to finding out what online opportunities exist for that business by following these 3 Tips.
Searching for a business on a search engine is as comfortable as chips. We do it every day to finding you're the nearest coffee shop or looking to join a gym. Every single type of business possible can get seen online. But how high up is your's ranked? What information about you're the company is being displayed?
I researched into google my own business that other competitors are on top of Google search results... why? Google likes content that's related to your business and the power of keywords, and SEO google ranks this business as the top. But don't worry! We will cover that later in another blog.
Firstly grab a pen or note down this rank. For example, say "Ryan's Hair Salon" was ranked on the second page on google and third in Bing search engine... yes people use it. It would get classed as an online opportunity. Could it be better? YES! If you are not on top, then there's still improvement to be made.
Once you've noted down your search rank but maybe you spotted your facebook page was in the search or see you're business on local listings such as "Google my Business" note that down too.
I researched into google my business and found it's listed locally... why? Using tools such as "google my business" can create your business come on the map free of change. It can be done by applying online and completing the verifying process, once that's done you'll get a letter in the post with your code you'll add that into verifying that your business is yours.
Also, note this down what position it was in search results? What social media did you find? Did you're business come up local listings? Once you've noted all this down, it's time to put them all together.
So, you have a list of things about your business. It's time to categorise them into ones you're doing well in and ones you could improve or in other terms Advantages and Disadvantages. It could be written down on a whiteboard to remind you of your goals or just on a piece of paper whatever suits you the most.

So my business has a website ranked quite well in Bing but lacks in google as one of my goals.
